STEM Pathway*
Have you studied at high school level overseas and are now ready to take the next step towards your STEM career?
Solent University’s International Foundation Programme in STEM is designed to support students who have completed their high school education abroad in transitioning to level 4 study in the UK. The programme emphasises building your confidence and independence, enabling you to learn effectively within the UK’s academic culture.
The STEM pathway incorporates real-life scenarios and practical applications. It aims to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to solve problems in scientific and engineering contexts by applying appropriate scientific and mathematical theories.
*Please note this programme is currently under review for the September 26 intake, and modular content is likely to change in line with industry and academic developments. Please refer to this course page for the most up-to-date information.
Level of study: NQF Level 3
Entry requirements: 12 or 13 years of schooling
Tuition fees: 2 terms: £13,500 3 terms: £16,000 (25/26)
Duration: 2 terms or 3 terms
IELTS entry requirements: 2 terms: IELTS 5.0 overall with no element below 4.5 3 terms: IELTS 4.5 overall with no element below 4.0

You will find the International Advice team within the University’s Student Hub. They are there to support you throughout your studies and help you make the most of your student life.
They can provide information, guidance and advice on a variety of issues including visas and immigration, life in the UK, as well as employment and careers. They are also available to help you if you have any questions prior to arriving in the UK.
