International Year One - BSc (Hons) Computer Science
If you're interested in computer science but don't meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree and are over-qualified for foundation year study, this programme is perfect for you.
Upon successfully completing the course, you'll be able to progress to the BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree and continue your undergraduate studies at Solent University. This degree preparation programme aims to bridge your academic and English learning gaps, providing a fast-track entry to Year 2. Both the October and January intakes enable you to join your chosen undergraduate degree the following September.

The International Year One Programme is a student-centred programme that aims to bridge your academic and English learning gap to provide a fast-track entry to Year 2 of an undergraduate degree offered by Solent University.
The programme focuses on the creation of theory and practice alongside the development of the English Language and new academic abilities required to be successful at university.
Both the October and the January intakes allow you to join your undergraduate degree of choice the following September.

First and foremost, you will find The International Advice team within the University’s Student Hub. They’re there to support you throughout your studies and to help you get the most out of student life.
They can provide information, guidance and advice on a variety of issues including visas and immigration, life in the UK, as well as employment and careers. They are also available to help you if you have any questions prior to arriving in the UK.
