The BSc (Hons) Cyber Security course will be a structured programme that supports and challenges you to reach the best of your ability and help you achieve your career aspirations in the cyber security field. We will teach you the fundamental technical, practical and critical thinking skills that are needed to succeed as a cyber and network security specialist. This course will also help you develop a range of subject-specific and transferable skills which can facilitate continued personal and professional growth.

What will I study?
Starting from the fundamentals, you will learn how to secure networks against intruders and defend them from cyber-attacks and explore the ethical, legal and social frameworks in which network engineers operate and the behaviours needed to do so.
You will also have the opportunity to develop key skills such as threat intelligence, risk management, networking, databases and critical thinking skills.
Foundation Year
If you’re looking to study our cyber security course but do not meet the entry requirements of our undergraduate degree, our Foundation Year option will help you develop the core skills and knowledge you need to progress before moving straight onto our BSc (Hons) Cyber Security the following year.
