We use Bitly to shorten our links on social media, to make them more visually appealing and to allow us to easily track them and measure their success
- You can access Bitly by getting the password from the Marketing Systems document. If you are a supplier, please speak to your main point of contact who will be able to create or share Bitly links with you.
- Don’t delete existing links. If you go to upload one, and one already exists, please use that one. Some links are embedded into pages, or used to make QR codes which are on printed collateral. Deleting these, undoes someone else’s hard work.
- If you’re creating a QR code, make sure to record it on this doc. Make sure to name your link correctly, so that when someone is scrolling through the links they can easily find the one they need. For example, you can use the course name and partner, ‘Student influencer/short form consent form’, ‘SUP Foleon’, etc. Always check your link takes you to the correct place BEFORE you publish it somewhere. If you’re a supplier, this will be done by your main point of contact.
- If there’s only a few credits left for the month to create links, ensure you run this past your line manager/the marketing team prior to creating the links.
