MSc Cyber Security (Part-Time)

Northumbria University’s part-time MSc in Cyber Security is designed to equip you with the skills needed to meet the growing demand for cyber security professionals, including handling security incidents, identifying both new and existing threats and determining methods to minimise them.

Entry requirements: 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university in a related subject or professional qualifications that are equivalent to an honours degree.

Mode of study: Part-time classroom and virtual sessions.

MSc Cyber Security (with Advanced Practice)

With the dramatic increase in high-profile cyber security incidents reported in the media, the demand for highly skilled security professionals is growing significantly as businesses across the globe seek to protect their networks and data. Our MSc Cyber Security provides you with a critical understanding of information governance and assurance, combined with technology risk management practices.

Entry requirements: Minimum 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university in a related subject.

English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 with no component less than 5.5, or equivalent.

Advanced Practice:After completing your Masters modules, you can choose one of six Advanced Practice options: Internship, Consultancy Project, Research Project, Professional Skills Practice, Enterprise Business Start-up, or Design Innovation.

MSc Cyber Security Technology (Part-Time)

This MSc will provide you with a recognised postgraduate qualification in Cyber Security Technology. The programme is designed specifically to enable you to update, extend and deepen your knowledge in Cyber Security and related technology and wider digital leadership and technology subjects, in order to enhance and accelerate your career opportunities.

Entry requirements: Minimum 2:2 honours or equivalent from a recognised university in any subject (except Cyber Security)

This programme has been designed for those who have an undergraduate degree in any discipline and wish to study for a qualification that focuses on cyber security in order to develop a career path in this discipline. The MSc in Cyber Security Technology is ideally suited to those who have no prior learning in cyber security, the modular content is reflective of this strategy.

Entry requirements: a 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent, in any discipline.

English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 with no component less than 5.5, or equivalent.
